Reading is the best! I want you to be an active, life-long reader. To do this, we will discuss genres, authors, book awards, and habits and strategies of efficient readers throughout the school year.
One Friday a month, we will have "Free Reading Friday". This will be an opportunity for you to read silently in class and also update me on your personal reading.
As a class, we will have a reading goal for each student to read at least 12 books throughout the school year.. To accomplish this goal, plan to read three books/quarter.
